Ruth has an exceptional ability with young horses and has a proven track record with developing and producing horses to the top level for showjumping, dressage and polocrosse. Through Ruth, Silverpines offers a schooling/training service for liveries and other clients to help with the development of young horses to the best of their ability.

James Smyth, Ruth’s husband runs all polocrosse training programmes in Silverpines and has a proven track record in player development having coached multiple players to the top level. James has played for and captained multiple Irish polocrosse teams and has extensive polocrosse coaching experience. James offers a different perspective and professional approach to polocrosse coaching that delivers unrivalled results in terms of player development and progression.

Silverpines boasts a highly experienced management team through Ruth and James that provides clients with access to all required guidance and support in relation to rider and horse development and have a strong reputation in the equestrian industry.
